If you have checked when you last installed anything, and you have installed something roughly when the Blue Screen of Death started to appear, then it is a good idear make a note of what you installed and then to uninstall it and see of the blue screen of death message stops occuring altogether.
Further, there are many possible reasons for the Blue Screen of Death, and some of them are to do with connection to the internet, and if you have more than one fire wall or more than one antivirus product installed at the same time and you are then tying to connect to your web server say using FTP ot using the FTP service embeded inside Studio 8 or inside Deamweaver MX 2004, you can cause a blue screen error situation.
Its worth keeping perhaps a written log of what you do install on your computer, together with where it was downloaded from and the precise date and time you installed it. All you need is a little note book and a pen and a tiny bit of organisation. and nouse....
Also it is worth keeping a little note of all of the updates that you actually install on your computer, why you are probable screeming out loud!!!! simple really, some updates from microsoft actually stop some things from working all together, at least if you know which updates were installed when, you can look to see what was installed after something stops working correctly....
It is always worth considering uninstalling something before you consider trying to put you computer back to a previous restore point.. And another thing: you may turn off the resore point software so no restore points are kept, conversly it can be turned back on, but clearly turning it on after the event is like leaving the door open and bollting it after the horse has bolted!!!
